What is a Nazarene?
The Church of the Nazarene was founded in 1908. Our name comes from Jesus, the Nazarene (or Jesus of Nazareth). The Church of the Nazarene is a Christian church, a Holiness church, and a Great Commission church. In other words, we believe that Jesus is the Messiah, that we can have victory over sin through the power of the Holy Spirit, and that we are called to take the message of the gospel to the world. Who attends your church?
Our church family consists of people of all ages from all different backgrounds. One of our members once said that we are best described by the song from Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer: We're A Couple of Misfits.
What should I expect when attending a sunday morning service?
Our services tend to be a little longer than the traditional Nazarene format. Sunday Morning services start around 11 am and usually end around 1:30 pm. Our church may not be the right fit for everyone, but we encourage you to try us on.
A typical morning service:
Worship Set #1
Greeting each other
Welcome & Announcements
Testimonies/Prayer
Offering
Worship Set #
The Message
Closing
When you walk in the doors, you will be 'greeted' by our coffee bar. Tea, coffee, and water are complimentary. There are usually also snacks availalbe for purchase. (It's a long service...)
When you walk into our sanctuary, you may be surprised by the seating arrangements. We tend to change it up every once in awhile. At the moment, we sit at tables.

What Should I Wear?
Most of our people dress pretty casually. You can come in jeans and a t-shirt, but if you would be more comfortable dressing up a little, that's ok, too. There will probably be at least one person dressed like you. We have no dress code. Anything goes. Well, almost anything. We do request that you come fully dressed (no nudity, please.)
Why do you sing so many songs?
Singing praise to our God and worshiping Him is a way for us to give back to God as He has given to us. It allows us to express our love and devotion. Singing together as a congregation also helps bring unity to the body (all the people of the church) and sets the tone of the service.
Why should I attend this church?
You should attend our church because you have been called here. Our church isn't necessarily for everyone. Everyone is welcome, but not everyone will find a place within our body, and that's ok. We want you to find the church that allows you to minister and be ministered to most effectively. (But, secretly, we hope it's us!) If you are broken and bruised and looking for a family to love you and to walk alongside you through the struggles of life, then you may have found the right place.
